Yippee!!! The news article announcing the retirement of those awful Jerry Seinfeld-Bill Gates ads is here. They say that they had planned on retiring the ads long before the public outcry, which might be true. What does this do to Jerry's rep as a funny man, though? His Bee Movie was somewhat lackluster at the box office, earning $128M against a budget of $150M. What other prospects does he have for the future?
Nonetheless, it's good to see the ads won't run any more. That little 4 minute mini show was simply terrible. Their next step is to trot out lots of people proudly saying, "I'm a PC, and I've been made into a stereotype."
